Ally Wade

Dr. Ally Wade served as the Director of Mental Health Services for SMU Athletics for 6 years, and is currently a member of the Dallas Mavericks Wellness Team. She is also listed on the US Olympic and Paralympic (USOPC) Mental Health Registry. She received her Master's and Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Texas Woman's University and completed her Pre-Doctoral Internship at the University of Oklahoma and her Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Southern Methodist University.
She maintains a relationship-based practice, providing a warm and safe space for her patients to pursue their own goals.
Dr. Wade's specialties are relationship issues, stress, trauma, anxiety disorders, life transitions, and body image and eating concerns. She works with clients from late adolescence through adulthood and, having been a collegiate athlete herself, she enjoys working with athletes in her private practice.
Outside of work, Dr. Wade and her husband keep busy chasing after their young kiddos. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active, being outdoors, traveling when possible, and playing with her dog, Cylas.
Aleia Campbell

Aleia Campbell earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Purdue University Fort Wayne where she played collegiate soccer. She went on to complete a Master of Science in Kinesiology with a specialization in Exercise and Sport Psychology from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and later earned a Master of Science in Counseling from Southern Methodist University. Aleia's professional background includes experience in community mental health and private practice settings. She has worked with adolescents and adults across diverse backgrounds and presenting concerns.
Aleia primarily draws from cognitive-behavioral and constructive therapy approaches, and incorporates techniques from Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Reality Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She recognizes that no two clients are the same and thoughtfully adapts her approach to align with each person’s goals and experiences. Aleia values the therapeutic relationship and aims to foster a collaborative, affirming, and culturally sensitive space where clients feel safe to explore challenges and pursue meaningful change.
Aleia's areas of focus include anxiety disorders, athletic performance, life transitions/adjustment concerns, difficulty with self-esteem/self-worth, identity exploration, and career concerns. She is also committed to affirming care for marginalized communities.
Outside of the therapy room, Aleia enjoys traveling, watching sports, hosting game nights, diving into a good book, TV series, or movie, and spending quality time with her husband and their cat, Dora.
Hannah Hwang

Hannah Hwang has eight years of clinical experience, working all across the lifespan (children to seniors), though the majority of her work has been with adults who are going through major life transitions (i.e., emerging and middle adulthood). She has experience in all levels of care in a variety of settings (e.g., higher education spaces, schools, local mental health authorities (LMHAs), private practice, and hospitals) from leading psychoeducational and process groups, individual and family therapy, crisis respite, to inpatient psychiatric care, and conducting psychosocial assessments.
Hannah is primarily a relational cultural, person-centered, attachment-based, and trauma-informed therapist. Her passion lies in working with individuals who experience acculturative stressors, identity concerns, complex trauma, and neurodivergence. In short, she is a firm believer that we are not meant to go through life alone and that we thrive in community.
You may be a good fit to work with Hannah if you are interested in increasing your self-knowledge, creating more growth-fostering (i.e., authentic, mutually empathetic, and meaningfully deep) relationships, learning how to regulate your nervous system through mindfulness and grounding techniques, and are open to nonverbal forms of therapeutic interventions (e.g., expressive arts therapy).

Young Geon Koh

Dr. Koh earned his Bachelor's degree in psychology at the Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore, MD), and completed both his Master's and doctoral studies at Loyola University Maryland (Baltimore, MD). He completed his graduate-level internship at University of Houston-Clear Lake Counseling Services (Houston, TX) and his postdoctoral fellowship at Southern Methodist University Counseling Services (Dallas, TX). Dr. Koh was granted licensure by the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council in February of 2022, and currently provides psychotherapy services in private practice.
Dr. Koh specializes in treating stress, anxiety, depression, and relational trauma. He currently offers individual psychotherapy to adults, as well as older adolescents 16 years of age and above. With regards to a treatment approach, while Dr. Koh primarily relies on the principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and often borrows from the interpersonal aspects of psychodynamic therapy, he also looks to other perspectives or modalities, so as to best address a client's needs.
During his free time, Dr. Koh enjoys going window-shopping with his spouse, attempting to learn the guitar, and fixing up his 2007 Ford Focus.
Nick Magera

Nick Magera is a 5th year doctoral student with more than five years of experience working with clients. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Integrative Sciences with concentrations in Pre-Professional Health Sciences, Addictive Disorders and Recovery Studies, and Interdisciplinary Studies, as well as a minor in psychology, from Texas Tech University. He then went on to earn his Master’s in Kinesiology with emphasis in Sport Psychology at the University of North Texas, where he is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Counseling Psychology under the advisement of Dr. Trent Petrie. Nick has previously worked with Division I Athletes, as well as within collegiate student counseling and community mental health settings. Nick has experience treating adults who hold a variety of intersecting identities, with unique life experiences and presenting problems.
Mr. Magera’s areas of specialty include working with both performance and non-performance related stressors as well as anxiety, depression, romantic relationships, behavior modification, perfectionism, performance-related stressors, team development, recovering from injury, and life transitions.
Nick enjoys developing warm, non-judgmental, culturally sensitive relationships with clients within the safe space of therapy. Through the exploration of patterned ways of being (e.g., thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and interpersonal dynamics) as well as finding purpose/meaning and navigating through ‘stuck points’, Nick works with his clients to help them better understand, accept, and address challenges in their life.
Mr. Magera’s unique life experiences as a retired ice hockey player, as well as his training in sport and performance psychology, make him a great resource for performers (e.g., athletes, dancers, musicians, etc.), teams, and organizations looking to develop, enhance, and maintain their ability to perform at their peak potential. Nick works in concert with the client’s training cycle to enhance their ability to perform at their best by utilizing a variety of techniques such as: mental skills training; organizational needs analysis; team cohesion, culture, and connection development activities; leadership skills development; and comprehensive objectives mapping.
In his free time, Nick can be found playing pickle ball, hiking, watching sports, documentaries and movies, and loves listening to stand-up comedy. He enjoys spending time with loved ones, learning about cutting-edge techniques in psychology, and spending time in nature.
Maria Michels

Dr. Maria Michels earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Viterbo University in La Crosse, Wisconsin where she played collegiate soccer. Dr. Michels then went on to earn her Master’s and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology degrees from Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky. As part of her doctoral training, Dr. Michels completed her Pre-Doctoral Internship at Miami University where she worked with undergraduate and graduate students, and student-athletes. Dr. Michels has worked in college counseling, community mental health, and private practice settings and has experience treating individuals across the lifespan with varying presenting problems.
Dr. Michels primarily practices from cognitive-behavioral and interpersonal frameworks but is mindful of each person’s unique needs and will tailor sessions to provide the best fit. She strongly values relationships and strives to create a warm, genuine, non-judgmental, and compassionate space for her clients to explore their lives. Similarly, Dr. Michels recognizes and values intersectionality, and works hard to ensure a culturally sensitive approach. In sessions with Dr. Michels, you might expect to focus on how thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and relationship dynamics might be impacting current functioning and what could change to improve overall life satisfaction or enhance performance.

Sally Norton

Dr. Sally Norton earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, before completing both her Master’s and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky. During her doctoral training, she completed a Pre-Doctoral Internship at the University of North Florida’s Counseling Center in Jacksonville, FL where she gained broad experience supporting individuals through a wide range of emotional and psychological concerns.
During the course of her training, Dr. Norton developed a passion and interest in working with neurodivergent individuals as well as those navigating anxiety, depression, identity exploration, trauma, and relationship or family dynamics. While she considers herself a generalist and works with individuals across the lifespan, she has specialized experience with children , adolescents, young adults, and families.
Dr. Norton’s approach to therapy is collaborative, relational, and rooted in authenticity. Grounded in person-centered principles, she prioritizes empathy, respect, and unconditional positive regard in every session to foster a warm and supportive environment. At the same time, she often also draws from interpersonal and psychodynamic theories to help individuals gain deeper insight into their thoughts, emotions, and relational patterns. Her integrative style allows her to adapt treatment to each individual’s unique needs, and she is committed to honoring each client’s goals, identity, and lived experiences throughout the therapeutic process.
Outside of psychology, she enjoys playing Dungeons and Dragons, hanging out with her two dogs (Scout and Ace), boxing, playing pickle ball, and practicing yoga.
Lindsey Seefeldt

Dr. Lindsey Seefeldt obtained her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Sociology, and Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Niagara University in Lewiston, NY. She then went on to obtain her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Medaille College in Buffalo, NY in 2021. While in training, she completed her Doctoral Internship at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. Dr. Seefeldt then went on to complete her Post-Doctoral Fellowship in the Counseling Services department at Southern Methodist University. Throughout her training she also worked with student athletes and enjoyed helping them navigate their unique challenges on and off the field; and continues to enjoy working with athletes today. Dr. Seefeldt has also worked in community mental health, inpatient, college counseling centers and substance use settings. She currently works both in private practice and within the Department of Wellness at SMU.
Dr. Seefeldt specializes in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, family of origin concerns, women’s concerns, LGBTQIA+ identities, romantic relationships and perfectionism. She enjoys spending time with the individuals she works with to hear their unique stories and would be grateful to be a part of your journey.
Dr. Seefeldt practices from an integrative perspective, but tends to gravitate towards cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy techniques the most. When working with individuals, she likes to think about ways their thoughts, feelings and behaviors may be impacting the outcomes that they may envision for themselves; as well as how past experiences and relationships may play a role in those outcomes. Overall, Dr. Seefeldt will tailor what she brings into the room to your unique experiences and needs. She feels as though the individuals she works with are the experts on their current situations, and that together we can help them reach their goals while being mindful and compassionate towards themselves!

Dr. Taylor Spells is a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to guiding adolescents and adults through life's challenges, helping them cultivate inner peace, enhance performance, and discover their authentic selves. She brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise, holding a Doctorate in Sport and Performance Psychology from the University of Western States, a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor's in Psychology from Texas Tech University. Additionally, Taylor holds a certification in Sports Social Work, providing a holistic and insightful approach to mental well-being.
With a deep commitment to the mental health field since 2016, Dr. Spells particularly enjoys supporting college students as they navigate pivotal life transitions. Her practice is open to all older adolescents and adults seeking to unlock their full potential and achieve greater fulfillment.
