Athlete Wellness
It is our belief that wellbeing translates to strong performance. Guided by that belief, we aim to help our patients learn about themselves, see their potential, and discover how to maximize performance in life, relationships, and athletics. To achieve this, we provide individual therapy and performance counseling services specifically geared toward athletes at the junior, collegiate, elite, and professional levels. Our athlete-focused treatment specialties include life transitions, mental-health impacts of injury, and return to sport (to name a few).
Dr. Wade has experience with the following organizations:
- Dr. Wade serves as a member of the Dallas Mavericks Wellness Team
- Director of Mental Health Services for SMU Athletics (2017-2023)
- Listed on the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC) Mental Health Registry
All DMHP providers have experience working with elite and collegiate athletes, with many having been collegiate athletes themselves.
